Refreshing Carribbean-Inspired Low Carb Beverage Recipe

Coach Jenny was craving a Caribbean beverage with dinner the other night  so she looked online for a recipe, but of course, what she found were really high carb drinks and, like most of us, she doesn’t like to drink her calories!  Instead, she invented her own and shares the recipe with TeamWILD.

makes 4 8oz servings

Ingredients:

1 can Strawberry Zevia soda
3/4 cup fresh (or frozen unsweetened) pineapple
2 medium strawberries
1/2 cup light coconut milk (not coconut water)
8 ice cubes

Directions:
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy! Pour 8 oz into each of four glasses. Enjoy!!

Nutritional Information (per serving):

5 grams of carb!!

The worst of the heat wave has passed, but it seems this summer is going to stay hot around TeamWILD’s blog center. I see this drink in my near future. For a special occasion, I might add a splash of rum…
