I love it when good things come from lots of hard work!!! TeamWILD took a gamble and the gamble paid off beyond our wildest dreams. (We like WILD dreams here at TeamWILD!) Back almost a year ago, we decided that we needed to explain to the world of diabetes providers just what TeamWILD is and does.
And how best to do that? Send the amazing diabetes coaches Jenny Smith and Marcey Robinson to the biggest national conference for diabetes educators: the annual conference of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, AADE. And share some of the amazing things that we teach here at TeamWILD about exercise and diabetes: how to fuel for performance, how to eat all those carbs and not gain weight and manage blood sugars, how to have confidence during a 100 mile bike ride, a marathon, a 10K, a triathlon or even a walk! That’s what we do here at TeamWILD for YOU!!!
We submitted the application to present. We got accepted. We wrote their presentation 5 months in advance and we figured out how they would create magic for the diabetes educators who would attend their session.
WILD SUCCESS! Marcey and Jenny presented yesterday and over 500 people attended their session!!!! In addition, they made the daily paper put out by AADE2012! After their well received presentation, Marcey and Jenny appeared in the Diabetes Advocates booth.
Jenny and Marcey, we are all really proud of you!!!
